Hyun Wook is informed that Jae Young was offered an investment to start a new company as president and because of money he was able to persuade Rae Hun and the other 2 members of MHDR to follow him (only Shi Woo is still with AnA).
As the staff argue, Hyun Wook is calm with his eyes closed throughout most of the yelling. His first priority is for the staff to get in contact with Shi Woo.
Shi Woo isn't at his dorm, nor his mother's house.
Cut to Shi Woo in a hoodie.
We get a flashback to when he had received a phone call announcing the break up, he watches the press conference where Rae Run announces that the 3 members have had issues with Shi Woo, the specific reasons are to be kept to ourselves.
Rae Hun had called Shi Woo to meet. Shi Woo asks what he did so wrong for him to deserve this.
Rae Hun: For five years, the four of us sweat blood and tears. But one day they brought in a rookie and took one of us away. This talentless rookie hung around for a couple of months and he wound up becoming the centre of the group just because of his pretty face. I sang the songs. Jun Jun and Sun Ah made fools of themselves on variety shows. But they still say the MHDR's success was all because of you. And you... you believed it.
He continues, that without the 3 of us you can see how useless you are. He also reveals that he wasn't serious about Ra Eum.
Shi Woo heads back home, he overhears his mother and manager talking. She asks whether he was ostracised, the manager quickly brushes the question off.
Shi Woo is quick to call his mother. She lovingly calls him Young Bok. He comforts her but remains out of her sight.
Back at the company, Hae Yoon urges Hyun Wook to try and sort things out with Jae Young. He refuses.
He now remembers to listen to Se Na's song.
At AnA's practice room the trainees are discussing their future without MHDR. Se Na walks in and one of them remarks that she has the guts to continue to show her face. Se Na defends herself, stating that she isn't someone of that great of an influence to cause MHDR to split or for the company to become a mess.
Se Na takes a breather outside. Hyun Wook finds her to give feedback on her song; it had a nice melody and it was fresh. But the arrangement was sloppy. He sends her off to adjust the song.
The song arranger is upset that Jae Young threw him away. He tells Se Na that icecream will cheer him up. So we cut to the two of them eating just that. They separately ponder about their problems.
Hyun Wook's father is on a phone call stating that if 'pohamdong' gets revealed AnA is over. His wife over hears this. She uses his car to go somewhere.
Wifey has a meeting with Hyun Wook. She reveals that she knows that there is an other woman (in the picture). She suggests hiring a private detective, Hyun Wook isn't up to the offer. Back in the car wifey takes the sd card from the black box in the car and calls Lawyer Kim to ask how much it would cost to retreive black box footage and text message tracking.
As Hyun Wook is driving he nearly swerves into the car on the next lane, once again he gets sharp pains in his head. He swerves in and out of his lane as the pain continues.
Hae Yoon waits for Jae Young to exit his house. She confronts him, asking whether the riff was caused by her. She says he isn't doing this for her attention, but because he hates Hyun Wook, she accuses him of having a inferiority complex.
At AnA, a meeting is held with their company lawyer to penalise MHDR for breaching contract rules but Hyun Wook comes in to say nothing of the sort is happening, they will let go of MHDR. The
He agrees to Hyun Wook's way to resolve the issue. Hyun Wook instructs the team to find solo concepts for both Shi Woo and Ra Eum.
Hae Yoon suggest that Hyun Wook compose the songs, he is still adamant that he will never compose music again. Hae Yoon pushes, but he tells her to not over step her boundaries. Hae Yoon is in tears, as he tells her not to anything for his sake.
At Se Na's place, the recording equipment Hyun Wook ordered for her has arrived. It is not accepted before she calls Hyun Wook about being burdened by his gift.
She is about to update Hyun Wook via text on her equipment being set up. Instead she goes to purchase ice cream to thank him in person.
Hyun Wook is at a bar with Sung Jin. Telling him, Hae Yoon was crying when they had met up and guessed it was because of Hyun Wook. Sung Jin tells Hyun Wook that Hae Yoon had fallen for him long before he fell for So Eun and if he were to love again he would have liked it to be with Hae Yoon.
Se Na is still waiting outside Hyun Wook's house when she receives a call from Shi Woo.
He asks for her to come to him with his hat and .... pizza.
It has been 3 days since he had last eaten; he can't be seen since he is hiding. He complains about the crust. He admits that he was feeling alone and had no one else to call. There had only been two people by his side when he was in MHDR, his fans and contracted staff.
Before she leaves, he asks for her to come visit him again.
The next morning, she spills as to where Shi Woo is to Hyun Wook, although Shi Woo told her not to tell anyone. Hyun Wook goes to meet him.
Shi Woo admits that he is scared, afraid of everyone that is watching him. He doesn't know what to do.
Hyun Wook: Aren't you mad that those 3 screwed you over and left? I'm really pissed because of Seo Jae Young. That's why I want you to win. I don't want you to beat them with a lawsuit. I want you to beat them as a singer, onstage with music.
Hyun Wook gives Shi Woo 2 days to think it over; whether he wants to become a solo artist or quit.
Hyun Wook shows a little jealousy when he returns down to the lobby to meet Se Na, noting her closeness to Shi Woo. She texts him that picture she was meaning to last night.
Father is discussing financial issues with his Lawyer, who informs him that wifey had contacted/met Lawyer Kim. She had brought in the black box as evidence to file for divorce. He brings this issue up to her.
Meanwhile, Hae Yoon has treated the trainees (Se Na included) to an extravagant meal. Encouraging them all to work harder.
Hae Yoon ignores a call from Hyun Wook. She leaves the restaurant to see Hyun Wook waiting outside. The trainees are enjoying themselves, Se Na leaves quietly.
Hae Yoon and Hyun Wook talk.
Hyun Wook apologises for overreacting. It's not that he doesn't want to compose again, it's because he can't. He has an earworm. Once it gets started, it doesn't stop for hours. His head hurts like it's shattering into pieces. He can't make or listen to music, it's tiring for him.
It is the first time Hyun Wook has revealed this to anyone. Hae Yoon hugs him. Of course, Se Na sees this.
Hyun Wook pats Hae Yoon's back as she cries into his shoulder. He explains it was from the accident and it's not that he will never compose again, he might get better...
Se Na returns home, sitting in front of her piano with her eyes watery.
Shi Woo is thinking about what Rae Hun had said about him being worthless without his 3 members. In turn, he is reminded of Hyun Wook's words.
He turns his phone back on to receive text messages from Se Na. Call me whenever you are hungry, next time you can buy the crust. Bringing a smile to his face.
Se Na is mindlessly working on her composing not even noticing that her phone keeps ringing as Joo Hong checks up on her.
Se Na hadn't even noticed it was morning.
Shi Woo calls. Proud that she saved his number. This time he wants sushi. Se Na says she's busy composing her song and doesn't want to fall behind. She wants a someone to listen to it.
He tells her to send over the song once she's finished. She hangs up before Shi Woo is done speaking.
Shi Woo waits by his phone. She does send it and he pops up in excitement to listen to the song.
Se Na calls Hyun Wook but he is too busy to talk as he is in a meeting with Ra Eum and Hae Yoon. Se Na heads to the AnA. Shi Woo leaves his hotel room, calls Se Na to know her whereabouts and now also heads to AnA.
Ra Eum is being stubborn as usual, not wanting to make a comeback before Shi Woo does.
Hyun Wook later notes to Hae Yoon, he thinks Ra Eum has broken up with Rae Hun. She needs comfort rather than persuasion.
Se Na finds Hyun Wook to proudly announce she has finished her homework. They listen to the song together as Se Na thinks back to the time they first met, the time he covered her when it was raining, their time at the art gallery and seeing Hae Yoon hug Hyun Wook.
Shi Woo is travelling to AnA via taxi, he thinks back to the time he recorded the guide for Se Na. As soon as he arrives he searches for Se Na.
Hae Yoon comes to burst the mood, asking why Se Na came on her day off. Se Na makes her exit. As promised Hyun Wook heads off on a dinner date with Hae Yoon.
Shi Woo finds Se Na on the roof top.
Shi Woo: Why do you keep making a person's heart beat. (It's probably a comment about the song but still)
Cue confused/shocked faces of Se Na, Hyun Wook and Hae Yoon.
