Hyun Wook thinks back to what he had said to Se Na with regret "If something happens to Dal Bong, you're fired. No, even if we find Dal Bong, you're fired."
Hyun Wook takes a taxi to follow Se Na. She stops by a street-side restaurant and orders a soju. She is hurriedly joined by Joo Hong, forcing Hyun Wook to nonchalantly sit at the table next to hers.
Joo Hong informs Se Na that someone came looking for her today (Hyun Wook) but she sent them off her trail.
Se Na: "Do I have to run away again?"
Joo Hong's logic: "He wasn't bad looking though". LOL - girl has got her priorities.
Se Na tells Joo Hong that she got fired by a crazy dog owning client.
Se Na: "I thought he was a good person".
That guilt Hyun Wook was already feeling has spiked and he gets up to leave quietly. Back home/hotel he consults with Dal Bong. "Did you know she was So Eun's sister from the beginning?". Dal Bong seemingly smiles?! #swoonfordalbong
The next morning Se Na has a
He tells Se Na she should have knocked if she were to come out of her room.
Se Na: "It would be better if you just wore clothes."
He brags about becoming a fitting model and the need for focusing on his body. Se Na takes a cucumber out of the fridge, only for it to be snatched right back by him. Lecturing her that she shouldn't touch food that isn't hers. So CHEAP...
Se Na receives a phone call for a new job at a fancy lunch box store.
Hyun Wook and Dal Bong move into a new house with a very rustic/natural feel. Bae Sun Jin (Alex) questions why Hyun Wook has finally settled down after three years of never finding a place. Why this neighbourhood? Why this house?
"Is it because of So Eun's sister?"
Sun Jin promises Hyun Woo that he won't tell Hae Yoon or his father of his house/whereabouts.
On Se Na's first delivery she runs into Shi Woo. He darts sideward glares.
He brings up whether she is a stalker and they bicker back and forth. To shut him up she gives him the business card of her new job.
COUGH* product placement at its finest - close ups of both sides of the card.
She counters back by saying she will reveal what happened that night on the internet.
Cue an employee of AnA entering the elevator. Shi Woo gets scared as Se Na talks aloud about that night, nearly getting to the juicy parts. He interrupts and gives the business card to the employee. LOL and they have a conversation about how she thinks he looks better in person and he's like aww shucks I should be looking better on the screen.
On to the next delivery: Hyun Wook's house.
Where he anticipates her coming and hides when she comes around the corner.
Hyun Wook: "I happen to move and happen to order lunch" "and you happen to be someone I know"
Se Na: "I use to work at a hotel.. but I happened to meet a jerk" "and I happened to lose my job" "Now, I happen to work here" "So we meet again"
He informs her that he is going to order lunch boxes everyday onwards. He tries again to create "coincidental" meetings - Oh! There was a buy one get one icecream deal, want one?
The next day she delivers to a park. Hyun Wook boasts about how good the weather is today. At that moment clouds cover the sun and it starts to pour.
Hyun Wook's first priority is Dal Bong, covering him with a cloth.
Se Na gets a call from her boss and she rushes back. But not before Hyun Wook ties a cloth to cover her head.
Hyun Wook: "If you get a cold, you will hate he even more."
Hae Yoon and Seo Jae Young (Kim Jin Woo) are called in for a meeting with Hyun Wook's father/president. Someone spilled the beans... He knows that Hyun Wook has found a house in Seoul.
He warns Hae Yoon not to involve herself with people like Hyun Wook. But he does mentions that if Hae Yoon were to VISIT Hyun Wook's house, she should gift him with a Cactus.
"He likes things like that"
Jae Young asks whether it was because of Hyun Wook that she cancelled their dinner (another one sided crush...). She's replys that Sun Jin told her that there was going to be a housewarming party at Hyun Wook's.
Jae Young invites himself.
At home, Hyun Wook is watching the doggie channel with Dal Bong. But Dal Bong is more interested in Se Na as he brings a food pamphlet to Hyun Wook.
The housewarming takes a turn for the worst when Jae Young says that Hyun Wook should start writing ballads, ones that capture the pain of losing a loved one. Oh no! You didn't just go there. Sun Jin is quick to usher him out.
Hyun Wook walks Hae Yoon out to get a taxi.
Hae Yoon that honest/straight forward girl starts to talk about how she is such a good candidate to be Hyun Wook's girlfriend. They kid around with each other. She even tries the twirling of the finger to cast a spell on him.
Se Na once again bumps into the loan sharks and runs for it.
Hyun Wook sees a hullucination of So Eun, whom he follows but loses sight of. He then runs into Se Na. As they both run away, the loan sharks bump into a truck causing the wing mirror to snap off. The driver of the truck exits yelling after the loan sharks.
The truck starts to roll down the steep road.
Se Na falls as they are running.
Hyun Wook sees the truck rolling down and jumps in front to hold onto her. The truck mysteriouslly stops because of some electrical spark? (didn't quite catch it - lets just say it was supernatural?)
Both Se Na and Hyun Wook are knocked over. Se Na remains conscious. But Hyun Wook is in a dream like sequence where he sees So Eun in a field of barley. He regains consciousness on a hospital bed.
Hyun Wook: "I saved your life, yet I paid for the hospital fees."
Se Na: "Thank You." "I think this is the first time someone's looked after me like this."
We flashback to when Se Na was at the truck accident site, the loan sharks give Se Na a final warning. She is told she has ten days.
Hyun Wook makes a call to someone to find out who those loan sharks are.
Se Na arrives to work the next morning but is told she is fired (the loan sharks came to the store). She requests that she makes one final delivery... to Hyun Wook.
She gifts him with plasters. Hyun Wook offers Se Na to be Dal Bong's pet sitter. Haha aren't you a nice one.
She asks for 9,000 won per hour, he ups it to 20,000 won.
Se Na bathes Dal Bong but Hyun Wook tries to school her... doesn't turn out well because both of them end up getting wet when Dal Bong shakes off the water.
A ridiculous amount of bubbles form and continue to form for a good while.
Next we cut to MHDR being interviewed. They are asked "Honestly, which member do you dislike?". They put on an act, saying we all get along. Once the interview is over the smiles fall.
Rae Hoon suggests they go to the ocean to cool down. Shi Woo suggest Haim as the place to go, his idea is shut down immediately and the others leave him.
Is this why you act they way you do?
Shi Woo heads into the van by himself. His manager plays a CD - Se Na's Demo CD. He mentions why he hadn't given it to Jae Young and that his manager is flaky. "Why did you make a promise you couldn't keep?".
Manager: "I gave it a listen, but it's not Jae Young's style."
Manager nim is about to turn off the CD but Shi Woo tells him to leave it on. Awww...
Cut to Se Na at home talking to Joo Hong. Joo Hong suggests she go live with Hyun Wook as an idea to avoid the loan sharks. The idea is quickly shut down.
Joo Hong: "No matter what, I think that guy likes you."
Se Na arrives to work. Hyun Wook is packing to head out to the ocean with Dal Bong. Se Na comes along.
They go shopping at a fish market. Where an ajumma dotes on Hyun Wook, she offers to give him an extra octopus free of charge. The ajumma mistakes them for a couple. Se Na meekly mentions that they aren't.
Se Na plays with Dal Bong on the beach and Hyun Wook is reminded of So Eun.
Hyun Wook asks why Se Na moved to Seoul.
Se Na: "I wanted to be like my sister... there wasn't anything she couldn't do." "As for me, I can't do anything properly." "What's wrong with me?"
Hyun Wook: "What's wrong with you? You're not too bad."
We flashback to Se Na's childhood with her sister. So Eun uses a leaf as a harmonica. Present day Se Na shows this to Hyun Wook.
Back at home, Se Na smiles to herself about what the Ajumma said.
Hyun Wook gets a phone call, his father collapsed and is in the hospital. His father isn't the most welcoming, nor his wife (mistress? turned wife).
Hyun Wook: "I see I could've taken my time... maybe bought some juice."
Father asks for Hyun Wook to take over the business. Hyun Wook dismisses it and leaves. The wife stops Hyun Wook to give him his father's will (his father's brain stem has been affected and it will be difficult to operate on).
At AnA they have a meeting. They discuss MHDR's title track and who is going to stand in as president for the mean time. Jae Young basically volunteers. We'll see... Hae Yoon doesn't seem to agree, although she doesn't express it in words.
Hyun Wook visits his father once again in the morning and does up his father's button.
Se Na is looking after Dal Bong. She notes that it must have been important since Hyun Wook left his sweater on his chair. She picks up the sweater and smells it...
The door bell rings, it's Hae Yoon. Hyun Wook arrives home and Hae Yoon asks for some privacy, Se Na waits outside with Dal Bong.
Hae Yoon gets straight to the point "I think you should step in as President of AnA".
Hyun Wook: "Does the company really have no one else?" "There's Seo Jae Young, he's ambitious and he will work hard."
Hae Yoon: "Isn't that the problem?" "I don't think he will give up the position if President Lee were to return."
Hae Yoon plays the song that Jae Young composed, asking for advice on whether it is feasible as MHDR's title song. Se Na hears the track from outside, it sounds similar to the song she composed.
As Hae Yoon leaves, Se Na asks Hyun Wook whether she can listen to the file again and that it is
Se Na rushes to AnA to confront Jae Young.
She recites her introduction on her demo CD. Asking whether he recognises it. He acts indifferent. Why so arrogant??!
Jae Young: "So are you asking me whether I plagiarised your song?". He throws a hissy fit. Yelling and all. The good old: do you know who I am speech. Hyun Wook walks in and listens.
Se Na definitely recalls manager nim promising to give the demo CD to Jae Young.
Hae Yoon and Shi Woo pass by. Se Na turns around to walk away but spots Hyun Wook, she runs out. The rest continue with a conversation.
Hyun Wook: "Are you sure it was nothing? You didn't listen to her CD?"
Jae Young: "I never got anything like that from her."
Shi Woo: "The CD I left for you in the recording studio. It's hers." "So you didn't know?"
Bud, you
Hyun Wook lays out three choices:
1. You get caught for plagiarising
2. You put out the song as a joint effort with an unknown songwriter
3. If you don't like the choices, you make a new song.
The hissy fit continues: I'm not the Seo Jae Young you use to know... what does it matter whether I have stolen someone's song or not...You can go now, not anyone is allowed in the company. My eyeballs are rolling to the back of my head.
Hyun Wook: "What if I'm not just anyone?" "What if I were to become this company's new president?"
Se Na walking back home receives a text from one of the loan sharks, asking why she looks so defeated. Reminding her that she is finished in two days.
Se Na readies her bag to move out, thanking Joo Hong and her boyfriend for everything. Leaving behind her guitar and case as a present for Joo Hong's hospitality. She leaves for her home town.
Hyun Wook tries contacting her but to no prevail. He heads to Joo Hong's home, pounds the door. Joo Hong still thinks of him as a loan shark but he clearly states he is the person who hired the pet sitter.
Once again, he finds her at the bus stop.
She misses her bus because of him. He tells her that he is disappointed that a few words from Jae Young has made her give up on her dreams. That she is running away without giving a proper fight.
Se Na: "What would you know?" "It is hard enough eating every day". Se Na is sick of constantly running away, the loan sharks and moving around.
Hyun Wook tells her AnA bought her song. They bought her talent. There were no conditions in purchasing the song, meaning all her debts were taken care of.
Se Na: "Ajusshi what are you?"
Hyun Wook: "Come on let's go, it's time to feed Dal Bong."
Se Na: "Ajusshi do you like me?"
THOUGHTS
Ahhh Dal Bongie is still alive that's all that matters for me. JKJK. No, but really when that time comes I will promise you I will be balling. Owning a dog myself, I can connect with the feeling/thoughts of losing a pet. ㅠㅠ
The ending of this episode... Well I think we all know what is going to happen next. Flat out
The drama still has yet to capture my heart.
